Join the Ft. Lauderdale Highlanders!

The Ft. Lauderdale Highlanders is a not for profit Scottish Bagpipe band formed in 1972. The band is a successful competition bagpipe band taking first place trophies throughout the State of Florida for over 30 years. The band seeks experienced pipers and drummers and new students to join our award winning band.

We have a band philosophy of “a place for everyone”. The band offers free piping and drum instruction each Monday night in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The band welcomes all who may wish to join our practice, socialize and share our love of our music and culture.

The Ft. Lauderdale Highlanders practice each Monday night at the POA Hall (Police Officers Association) 4500 SW 13th Street, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., just west of 441 and south of Davie Blvd.  Student practice starts at 6:00 pm. Band practice starts at 7:00 pm. The band plays pipes and drums at 8:00 pm.

The Band is available to play for any social event, parade, wedding, or corporate event. The band accepts financial donations to defray the costs of band uniforms and equipment. Corporate sponsorships and family endowments opportunities are also available.
